For quite a while I’ve been seeking for a community in my area (Portland, OR) that would be just for web designers to hang out, share tips, and network with other web designers.

I’ve found that Portland has quite a variety of tech-related events and communities, but none specifically for web designers. I set out to solve this by starting Refresh Portland.

WebVisions is a local conference for web professionals that’s been going on for a number of years. This year was the first year that I had heard of it, and I was very excited that it was right here in Portland. This year’s topic was about the “future of the web”, and there was a lot of great talks around this topic. I just want to take a few minutes to go over a few cool things I learned and thought about.

Macworld 2008 was a blast! I’m still getting back into my routine, but I wanted to blog about my some of my experiences.
